All of our Teeth Whitening Treatments are completely pain free! The only reason you would feel any pain during a Treatment is if you had underlying dental issues which would be causing the pain.

Which treatment would work best for me?
There are a few things to consider when deciding what treatment would work best for you. During the consultation I will examine the front teeth and explain which treatment is best for your goals.

What aftercare is involved?
It is recommended to follow a ‘White Diet’ for the following 24 hours post Teeth Whitening Treatment to avoid staining your teeth and causing the treatment process to reverse. Teeth have thousands of microscopic pores which are open after a Teeth Whitening Treatment which means they will continue to whiten after you leave your appointment only if instructions are followed. Therefore it is important to avoid dark staining food and drinks for the following next day to achieve the best result. Anything that would stain a white shirt. It is also recommended to not eat for the first hour following your appointment, you should only consume water which is provided in your after-care goodie bag. In your after-care kit it will have instructions on what options you have within eating and drinking also. All are explained verbally and questions are answered at the end of your Teeth Whitening session.

You must be at least 16 years old to have your teeth whitened due to your teeth still growing and positioning which can cause sensitivity or issues within the enamel.

No, unfortunately it is not safe to complete this treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as this can harm you and the baby.

Tooth Gems
How long do they last?
The time frame is different for everybody. Anywhere from 2 months to 2 years is normal. Depending on how well you follow the aftercare instructions and how you look after your oral health will definitely play a role in the longevity of your gems. Even touching/playing with your gems in the first few days of them being applied can cause them to come off early. A list of thorough aftercare instructions are explained during your appointment and given to you to take home to ensure your gems have the best chance of lasting. If they do fall off within 2 weeks of placement we will reapply free of charge and investigate what may be the reason behind it falling off.

Do tooth gems damage your teeth?
No, everything used in the application is very safe. The non-toxic adhesive is very similar to what is used when applying braces. They will not stain or harm the tooth in anyway. I have trained with Dentists who apply gems and they also agree gems don't cause issues to your tooth surface if the process is done with correct products.

Can you remove my tooth gems?
If you are wanting your tooth gems removed, yes I can remove them. If removal is not successful you will need to speak to a Dentist to organize removal. This does cost $20 for removal.

What happens if you swallow the Tooth Gem?
Absolutely nothing. The Gem will pass through the body in the usual process.

Do you have to be a certain age to have tooth gems?
There is no age minimum for tooth gems as they are completely safe for people of any age (even breastfeeding/pregnant women can have gems applied). If you are under the age of 16 a parent or guardian must sign your consent form and attend appointment. Please talk to your orthodontist if you are going through the process of braces or Invisalign before arranging appointment.

I can help create your tooth gem goal and give you my professional opinion on what would work best with your teeth. Having extensive range of gems it can be hard to choose which one. I love having a play around and discussing which one suits you. We can even apply it to your tooth without setting it to see if you are 100% happy.
